No. This is a one time investment
for the customization and license to use our
commercials. After this, you simply will pay for
airtime.
Your school will be the only school
in your cable zone with the right to use the particular
commercial(s) you licensed. No other school will run it
in your cable area. For example, if Grace Christian in
McKinney, TX, has the license for The Baton in the
McKinney cable zone then Victory Christian that is also
located in McKinney could NOT buy/license The
Baton. However, Victory Christian could license
Ultimate Perspective for that cable zone if no other
school as done otherwise.
Customization of your commercials
will take approximately 3 or 4 weeks. If you have a
specific need to get on much quicker, it is
possible….simply ask us how.
Based on the experience of experts
in the industry, any more than 3 lines of information
tends to overwhelm the TV viewer. Any more than 3 lines
will cause the font size of your graphic tag to be
smaller therefore possibly hurting the chance for
families with small television sets to see all your
information clearly. Also, the more they have to look
at the less they will be able to recall.
Why cable?
There are many reasons to go with
cable when it comes to TV advertising. Here are just a
few reasons:
VIEWERSHIP:
There has been a major shift in the share of
viewing now tipping the scales from broadcast networks
to cable networks across all viewing targets in
virtually every daypart.
TARGET YOUR
CUSTOMERS:
Cable Networks target specific customer groups,
incomes and lifestyles. There's a Cable Network that
targets your young families in your specific area.
TARGET GEOGRAPHY:
Cable can target specific geographic areas
where your customers live. There's no wasted exposure
beyond your service market. Typically a 15 to 25 mile
radius. With broadcast, the average coverage area can
be anywhere between a 35 to 100 mile radius. Thus
putting your commercial in areas that are worthless to
your campaign.
LOW COST:
The average person, unfamiliar with cable
advertising, perceives that the cost of advertising on
cable is out of their reach. This is untrue. Cable
advertising is much less expensive then you think. The
average cable television advertiser spends only a few
pennies a month to reach a cable household. An
expenditure that results in both frequency and reach.
Often for the cost of a few
newspaper ads, the price of a single billboard or a very
limited radio schedule, our customers can have a very
effective cable schedule.
GREAT
FREQUENCY:
Cable advertising offers greater frequency because
of its low cost. Frequency generates higher impact on
your target audience through the cumulative effect of
repetition.
LOYAL VIEWERS:
Cable subscribers watch more television than
non-cable homes.
MORE PURCHASING POWER:
Cable subscribers have a higher education,
better incomes, and higher level occupations than
non-cable homes. That means those who see your
commercials have more money to invest into their
children’s education.
EXCITING ENVIRONMENT:
Cable offers some of the best programming available,
so you can selectively place your commercial in related
program content.
FLEXIBILITY:
Multiple networks offer a greater exposure to
your customers. A wide variety of programming offers you
exceptional scheduling opportunities. Advertising on
cable increases Open House traffic, dramatically
increases your awareness and increases your enrollment.
Can I go on ABC, CBS, NBC, or
other broadcast networks?
If the commercials are available in
your Designated Marketed Areas (which typically is a 35
to 100 mile radius), you would have this option.
However, if a school is using the same commercial in a
cable area around you, you could not do broadcast. One
broadcast network could span over many separate cable
zones. Also, if this option is available, the license
costs would change depending on your area and how many
cable zones would be covered. Ask your consultant for
more details on pricing, etc.
Airtime Placement
How many times do these air and
on what cable networks?
The number of airing you would get
would depend upon your budget and the rates we
negotiated on your behalf. For example, if your cable
system has 20,000 households, your rates will run around
$10 to $20 per airing (national average). If your
airtime budget is $500 a month, then you would get
between 25 and 50 airing….depending on what networks you
choose. You can advertise on virtually any cable
network available in your area. This includes networks
such as Fox News, TNT, TBS, USA, Discovery, Lifetime,
ABC Family, History Channel, FX, and many more.
Basically any network that is not a broadcast network
such as ABC, NBC, CBS, PAX, etc.
Do I have to air every month?
No. But one thing to keep in
mind is that frequency should be one of your goals.
The reason being that building your awareness and
"brand" is an ongoing factor in your overall success in
any media campaign.
Is there a minimum number of
airings I have to do?
Very rarely does a cable station
set minimums. We will make sure that whatever you do is
effective. If you cannot effectively be on the air
every month, there are strategies we have to help
stretch any budget for you. For example, if you cannot
air every month, we will focus your airtime around the
recruiting seasons for you (Open House, summer, etc).
What if I do not know how to buy
airtime?
We make
it where you do not have to be a Media expert
- Budget
preparation. Counseling. managing faculty. Acquiring
funding for your school. Board meetings. PTA meetings.
You’re already have an overwhelming amount of
responsibilities for one person. Why should you have to
become a media expert too? We spend every day, 24/7,
putting these commercials on the air for Christian
schools. We’re experts at this so you don’t have to
become one.
We are here to serve you.
We are not a local cable station that is simply trying
to sell open spaces to fill up our schedules. We are
purpose driven . The purpose that drives us is to see
you be successful in your marketing. We have a vested
interest in these commercials running properly. If they
don’t, we are falling short of accomplishing our
mission. You won’t be happy and
therefore we will have failed.
How quickly can I get on the
air?
Customization of your commercials
will take approximately 3 or 4 weeks. The airtime
schedule can be done during this time. Therefore, you
could be on the air inside of a month. If you have a
specific need to get on much quicker, it is
possible….simply ask us how.
Could I get a better deal on airtime if I personally
approached our cable station?
No. The reason for
this is simple. We place thousands of dollars of
airtime every month for our schools. That give us
NATIONAL BUYING POWER which in turn leads to discounts
on the rates. We already have relationships built with
cable vendors all across the country. Worst case
scenario- is that we get the same rates you would but we
do all the work for you….and you have our expertise
working on your behalf. It is in our best interests for
you to succeed and be satisfied with our commercials.
